Subject: 48-Hour XR Hackathon: Register Now!


The CSU Entertainment Alliance and Department of Communications are hosting an XR Hackathon.  The 48 hour event
starts on Friday, October 26th at 6:00pm and wraps on Sunday, October 28th at 6:00pm.  Students, faculty, and
staff from all CSU campuses are invited to participate in this event.

What is XR?  XR refers to cross reality and includes a plethora of immersive mediums, including virtual reality
(VR), mixed reality (MR), augmented reality (AR), and 360 video.  The event will include speakers from the XR
industries and gaming industries.  Each speaker will give feedback on every teams works.  The current list of
speakers include:

  *  Kent Bye, Voices of VR 
  *  Cosmo Scharf, Co-Founder of VRLA and Mindshow
  *  Michael Annetta, Award-Winning VR Developer and developed theBlu along with other games utilizing body
     sensors to dictate the experience
  *  Adam Sulzdorf-Liszkiewicz, CEO of Rust LTD
  *  Luke Noonan, Co-Founder of Rust LTD and Aluminum Records

This is an amazing opportunity for you to network with professionals and try your hand at creating something in
immersive platforms.  

 

Everyone is welcome regardless of experience or background.
